The first St Giles College was founded in London in 1955 by Paul and Diana Lindsay. Since then the organisation has grown in the UK, USA, Canada and Brazil.
Today, with 50 years' experience teaching English and running schools, the St Giles Group of colleges is one of the largest and most successful international English language training organisations, with a total of seven schools worldwide. Every year an average of 10,000 students, from over 90 different countries choose St Giles for their English language learning needs.
All our UK centres are accredited by the British Council and are members of English UK
(formerly ARELS). St Giles San Francisco is a member of the American Association of
Intensive English Programs (AAIEP) and its teacher training courses are approved by the
California State Department of Education. The teacher training courses at St Giles
Brighton, Highgate and San Francisco are all validated by the University of
Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES) and the training courses at St Giles Eastbourne and
London Central are validated by Trinity College London. St Giles Vancouver is a member of CAPLS and the CEC Network.
