The Canadian Experience Programme

An exciting program which combines General English language tuition with a variety of activities and excursions in and around Vancouver

Key features

This course, which is offered at St Giles Vancouver, is a 2 week program. It consists of 20 General English lessons in the mornings, and activities and tours in the afternoons where you can practice and improve your English in a social environment!

Price includes:

  • Tuition - 20 lessons per week in the morning
  • Activities and excursions accompanied by your teacher
  • Entrance fees

The Language Course

Our General English course will develop your language skills and focuses on speaking, listening, reading and writing as well as pronunciation and grammar.

A typical General English course includes:

  • Developing and improving your spoken English to make you a clearer
        and more confident speaker
  • Developing your listening and comprehension skills
  • Learning and reviewing the basic grammatical structures of the English
        language
  • Everyday English - language that you can use in real-life situations,
        both spoken and written
  • Reading practice and comprehension testing

Vancouver City Tour

Explore the forest on the Capilano Suspension Bridge

Tuesday

Visit to the world-famous Stanley Park and Vancouver Aquarium

An afternoon at Science World - Vancouver's famous science museum

Wednesday

Trip to Granville Island - experience this unique inner-city island and discover a rich and fascinating mix of street performers, artists and food stalls

Bowling and Billiards

Thursday

A ride on the Grouse Mountain Gondola with spectacular views of the city, the ocean and the mountains

Burnaby Village Museum - experience life as it was in the 1920s in Burnaby

Friday

Visits to the University of British Colombia and the Museum of Anthropology

Harbour Centre lookout - for incredible views across Vancouver and watch a show at the Imax Theatre

  • 17 December (Canadian Christmas Experience - homestay accommodation recommended)

    Fees

    Fees: $725 CAD (2 weeks: includes 20 lessons per week + afternoon activities.)
