By successfully completing our University Foundation Business Course you should:
- have gained access to a British University, on your choice of degree course
- be able to demonstrate independent study skills and a comprehensive understanding of key business concepts
- have the skills and confidence you need to succeed at a British University
- have the experience of living abroad independently
The Programme
The main features of the course are:
- IELTS Preparation, to achieve the score needed for university entrance
- Business Studies lectures, delivered by experienced tutors
- Academic study skills, including essay writing and independent research
- An introduction to British academic methods and culture
- Field visits and presentations by outside speakers
There are eight core business modules: Business Basics, Business Organisation, Business Economics, Marketing, Business Management, Accounting and Finance, People in the Workplace and International Business. There is also an optional ninth module: Business Law.
University Application and Student Support
At the end of your course you will need to reach a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 and to achieve a 'Pass' grade in the St Giles UFBC examinations. If you do this you will have a guaranteed place at one of four universities:
- Oxford Brookes University
- University of Brighton
- University of Plymouth
- University of Chichester
- University of Sussex
- University of Winchester
You can also apply to other universities, and past students have already been awarded places at many British Universities.
Throughout your course and application, our academic counsellors and tutors will provide you with support. You will have a personal tutor who will help to maximise your progress.
