Terms & Conditions for CELTA, DELTA and Cert. TESOL Courses

Course fees are inclusive of examination entry fees, photocopying facilities and teaching resources used on the course. You will need only basic stationery to make notes etc. In addition, applicants accepted at interview will need to buy the book "Teaching English Worldwide" (Lindsay) for further preparation for the course. This book is available from the College. It is also advisable to buy other books for reference before, during and after the course. Advice on reference books is given on the Pre-Interview Language Awareness Task, At-Interview tasks, during the interview and in the Guide to CELTA courses at St Giles College. The Guide is given to successful applicants when they confirm acceptance of a place on the course.

  1. All applicants will be asked to complete a pre-interview task, and to attend an interview before an offer of a place can be made.
  2. A deposit must be paid within 7 days of receiving an offer of a place. Deposits are not returnable but may be transferred at our discretion.
  3. The full fees must be received at least 30 days before the course starts.
  4. Places on courses are only reserved when the deposit of GBP 150 or the full fees are paid within the required time.
  5. If a place is offered within 30 days of the start date, the balance of fees must be received within 7 days of the offer/course start date -whichever is soonest.
  6. If notice of cancellation is received in writing more than 30 days before the start date of the course the balance of fees will be refunded (minus the deposit). Refunds cannot be made in any other circumstances either before or after the course other than in the case of cancellation by the college.
  7. The college reserves the right to cancel a course for which numbers do not meet the minimum requirement, in which case an alternative course will be offered or fees and deposits will be refunded.
  8. We strongly recommend that students take out insurance to cover the cost of tuition fees. This can be booked at www.course-u-can.com or through your own insurance broker.
  9. St Giles reserves the right to reject any application without explanation.
