You Can Study English in a Safe and Relaxed Atmosphere

is one of the friendliest cities in the world. The 2015 Global Liveability Ranking out of 140 international cities has ranked it #3! Factors for this ranking include safety, infrastructure, education, health care and the environment.

You Can Study English in a Temperate Climate

The Rocky Mountains protects Vancouver from the artic air experienced by the rest of the country. The Pacific Ocean also provides Vancouver with a milder climate than the remainder of Canada. There are 177 rainy days per year in Vancouver, but very little snow and a moderate oceanic climate.

You Can Explore the Public Market at Granville Island

The Granville Island Public Market is just nine minutes from Vancouver, and well worth the trip. This dynamic market is filled with fresh baked goods, produce, and flowers. It also offers seafood that is freshly sourced from the ocean. The aromas are tempting, the food is delicious and the overall shopping experience is incredible.

You Can Study In Gorgeous Landscapes and Cityscapes

Vancouver is not only an urban paradise; it offers a number of incredible natural landscapes. These include Mount St. Helens, Renaissance Trail, the Pacific Coast and the Columbia River. Each of these locations provide beautiful landscapes and unique attractions such as local restaurants, galleries, festivals and historic events.

Study English in one of The Best Libraries in the World

According to the Heinrich Heine University in Dusseldorf, the Vancouver Public Library has one of the two best library systems in the world. Vancouver Public Library is massive, with 348,000 square feet. The librarians there are friendly and knowledgeable. This building even provides shelter for the homeless!

You Can Experience a Haven For Skiers and Snowboarders

Vancouver ski slope

Students who enjoy skiing and snowboarding are privy to some of North America’s best cross country and downhill skiing facilities. Here, two international mountains (Whistler and Blackcomb) are known throughout the world for the quality of their slopes. Other local ski mountains include Cypress Mountain, Grouse Mountain and Mount Seymour. With hours as late as 10pm, there is plenty of time for students to schedule studying and to still enjoy this outdoor recreation.

You Can Experience Vancouver’s Art and Music Scene

There is plenty of art and music to enjoy in Vancouver. Visit the Contemporary Art Gallery, the UBC Museum of Anthropology and the Vancouver Art Gallery for a bit of artistic inspiration. Enjoy the opera, symphony and ballet, or experience the international and local DJs at dance clubs throughout the city.
