Brighton is a vibrant seaside city just an hour from London and 30 minutes from Gatwick airport. Our large, lively school is in the city centre and minutes from the beach.
It has a diverse mix of nationalities and a really welcoming atmosphere. You’ll be busy on CELTA so it’s good to be in a city like Brighton where your journey to school doesn’t take too long.
At the weekend, when you want a break from studying, you can take a walk along the beach or have a coffee in one of the many independent cafes.
Receive £150 of your fee back if you go on to work for St Giles for at least 6 months in your first year post-CELTA!

As an approved CELTA and Delta trainer, she has trained both new and experienced teachers in the UK and internationally in countries like Uzbekistan, Cuba, Peru, and the USA.
Emily began her ELT career in the 90s, working in Turkey, France, and Ireland before joining St Giles. Since the 2000s, she has worked as a CELTA tutor, contributed to DELTA courses, and delivered training for overseas teachers, including projects in Senegal, Ghana, and Angola. She continues to teach EFL, EAP, and ESP at all levels, deliver teacher development sessions, and mentor through an in-house program.

Fran began her ELT career in the 1990s, teaching in the UK, Australia, South Korea, and the Czech Republic before becoming a teacher trainer at St Giles Brighton in 2003. She is a CELTA and Delta tutor and assessor. She has led teacher training in Bangladesh, Russia, Uzbekistan, Senegal, and Ghana, and has a special interest in SEN, providing one-on-one support for St Giles' students.
Jessica began her ESL career in 2010 after completing her CELTA, working in London for two years. She then spent two years in Vietnam with the British Council, teaching adults and children. After returning to England, she worked at a Brighton language school for seven years, moving into management and training teachers. Missing the classroom, she joined St Giles as a CELTA trainer in 2021. Outside of work, she enjoys writing songs, singing in a choir, and exploring various crafts.
