Eastbourne is a popular tourist destination and one of Britain’s sunniest towns. The town’s main attractions are the beautiful beach and the coastline, which students can enjoy both in summer and throughout the rest of the year. Beachy Head and the beautiful South Downs National Park are close by, as is the picturesque town of Lewes. Although Eastbourne offers a relaxed alternative to the fast pace of city life, students will still find it easy to see more of the UK – Brighton is just over half an hour away by train, while Central London can be reached within an hour and a half.
The town centre is easy to explore on foot, and students will appreciate being able to walk between their accommodation and the school. It is particularly well suited to younger students (courses are open to those aged 14+) who will benefit from more individual attention at a smaller school. For the same reason, we would also recommend this centre for those going abroad for the first time.
Our school in Eastbourne offers a wide range of English language courses. Alongside both short term and long term General English courses, we offer exam preparation for the IELTS and for Cambridge exams along with a selection of courses teaching English for Special Purposes. We currently offer the Teachers of English Course (TEC) in Eastbourne. This is aimed at practising non-native speaker teachers, who would like to work on both their language skills and on methodology. For those interested in taking a CELTA course, we recommend looking at our London Central & London Highgate centres.
