At the heart of our teacher training operation is the St Giles Educational Trust which was established in 1970.

The Trust is a registered charity and its key aim is to promote excellence in English language teaching through the St Giles initial teacher training courses and continuing professional development programmes for UK and overseas teachers.

The Trust also undertakes research and runs a scholarship scheme and it collaborates with the British Council and UK/international charities on projects to support English language teaching in developing countries.

The St Giles London Central ELT library and resource centre, which is open to members of the English Language Teaching profession worldwide, is run by the Trust: For further information about the library and the online book shop, please visit the ELT Library online.
