English Courses for Families & Kids

Looking to learn English while travelling to the UK with your kids? St Giles International’s range of Family and Junior courses may be just what you are looking for!  

Our unique courses have been tailored for children between the ages of 8 and 17, and we have separate packages for families travelling with their children and wanting to enrol in English classes. 

These courses combine daytime English lessons with a mixture of afternoon and evening social programs. Those looking to explore the UK cities with their families can do so after the classes are completed. 

Our Junior and Family English Courses:

Junior Summer Courses

Designed for children aged 8-17, our summer program usually runs between June- August. The course includes 20 lessons combined with daytime and evening social programmes. Kids can choose from any social programme, including sports events, excursions, cinema evenings, pizza making, and more!  

Our complete package programs are available in Brighton, Canterbury, London, and Oxford- all come with secure residential accommodations on university and independent school campuses. 

Your children won’t only be improving their English skills but also with developing life-long friendships with other children from around the globe! Themed summer courses are also available for juniors, including Secret Cities and The St Giles School of English and Wizardry at our St Giles London Highgate school. Family Courses

Learning English with your family at St Giles will be like a ‘home away from home’ experience for everyone. This course is designed for parents and children aged 5 to 15. See your child grow in confidence and ability to express themselves. 

Our language course with your family can be one of the most rewarding holiday activities possible, with the chance to visit a country you may have never been to. 

The combination of lessons in the morning and fun activities on certain afternoons will help your family bond and allow you and your children to make friends from all over the world. 

The courses are available in our Brighton, Cambridge, and London centres!

General English Juniors (Under 16s)

Our General English Junior course offers students aged 14 and 15 an independent learning experience at a more intensive level, including 3 supervised activities per week at one of our year-round adult centres. 

Your children will be taught to speak with greater confidence and fluency. Their listening, reading, and writing skills will develop further. Plus, they will have a greater understanding of the grammatical structure of the English language.

Initially offered at  Cambridge, Eastbourne, or London Highgate schools, with course start dates available all year (possibility to start any Monday of the year)

St Giles School of English and Wizardry  

Learn English through the enchanting and magic-themed Harry Potter lessons and activities. This course is designed for your children to explore the magical world of Harry Potter whilst improving their English language skills and making friends. 

Activities include visiting the Harry Potter Studio for a tour, walks to its famous locations, and the chance for a friendly game of quidditch. – Activities include visiting the Harry Potter Studio for a tour, walking to its famous locations, and playing a friendly game of quidditch.

Cambridge Junior Spring Camp

Our newest programme, designed for juniors aged between 12 and 17 is offered in the springtime during the Easter holidays. 

The course in 2024 will start from the 29th of March until the 12th of April, with a limited capacity of only 30 spaces. Held in our secure and safe centre at Cambridge, our students will get the chance to study comfortably in one of the most beautiful and iconic cities in the UK! 

The programme combines 20 English lessons per week with fun excursions and social activities, including sports, cinema, bowling, punting, pizza parties, and more!
