The CELTA course at
St Giles New York City
St Giles New York City offers a full-time course leading to the Cambridge CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). This is a 4-week programme of intensive study which includes observation of experienced teachers, coursework assignments and 6 hours of teaching practice. It also offers a part-time CELTA course over a 12-week period with a one-week break. The online/blended course takes 19 weeks with 2 one-week breaks before and after the face-to-face component. The course is delivered online throughout but attendance is also required for a two-week full-time face-to-face practical component.

The school is located in the heart of Manhattan, next to the Empire State Building and close to Times Square as well as other key New York sights. COURSE TIMETABLE
The full-time CELTA course runs from Monday to Friday, 9.00-17.30 with a one-hour lunch break and morning and afternoon coffee breaks. Self-study in the evenings and at weekends is required.
The part-time CELTA course runs from 18.00 to 21.00 on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and from 10.00 to 17.00 on Saturdays.
The online/blended course is delivered online throughout. The face-to-face practical component in NYC runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00-17:30 with a one-hour lunch break and morning and afternoon coffee breaks.
