Student Stories – My trip to Lake Tahoe!

Paul Seguin from France is currently learning English at our San Francisco centre. Here, he tells us about his long weekend at Lake Tahoe spent with new friends.

Last weekend was special for two reasons: One – it started on Thursday night, and two – I went to Lake Tahoe! We went there by car – three Brazilians and two French. We didn’t go to Lake Tahoe right away. We began our road trip with a visit to Napa, then Sacramento, and lastly Lake Tahoe. I really enjoyed Lake Tahoe; I passed some amazing time there.

It was very nice to walk in the streets at night. We went into a casino but most of the time we just walked around. I think the best time was Saturday afternoon when I was sitting with a friend in the sun on Lake Tahoe’s beach. We did nothing. We just stayed sitting and talking until the sunset came. I think we spent more than 3 hours on this beach. I’ll remember this moment for the rest of my life.

I would like to go back there, but I won’t forget the time I had there. Now I’m going to save my money because I would like to take a trip like that every month. If you’ve never been to Lake Tahoe, you should go as quickly as you can. It must be one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen!
