Round and Round We Go

New York City Social Programme Review – a trip to the Marriot Marquis

If you haven’t seen New York City from the revolving lounge sky lounge at the Marriott Marquis in Midtown, you haven’t seen NYC at all!

About twenty students and I recently went to Times Square in New York to visit the revolving bar at the Marriott Marquis. The bar is on the forty-fifth floor of the building, and the view was spectacular!

Looking out the windows was an amazing way to experience the New York City skyline. To help identify the buildings that we were looking at, there were napkins with the name of each building. They included the GE Building, Viacom, and MTV. The view of New Jersey at sunset was beautiful. There was something new to see every time we looked out the windows.

While gazing at the fascinating sites, the students ordered drinks, mingled and shared laughs. Many pictures were taken to immortalize our experience, including the one below. An hour and a half after we begun, we had gone a full revolution around the bar. It is definitely and experience that you should enjoy in your life time.
