St Giles New York students enjoy a Chocolate Tour!

Students studying with us at our recently opened New York City English school were treated to a very tasty social programme activity recently when they enjoyed a chocolate tour of SOHO.

Keith, the Activities Coordinator for at our English school in the Big Apple wrote this review of the tour for us:

I had the pleasure of organizing a sensational chocolate walking tour for St Giles New York students. It started in ultra-fashionable SOHO and ended up in the lively Union Square.

Our students first visited the famous Jacques Torres Chocolate Café and factory. We watched chocolate being made, whilst devouring the the Famous chef Jacques Torre’s signature chocolate. He also happened to be onsite while we were there which was a great bonus!

We were impressed with the huge chocolate bunnies and the unusual chocolate shapes on offer – such as high heels made out of chocolate.

Vosges was another great stop on the tour. This chocolate boutique pushes the boundaries of chocolate by mixing unusual ingredients. Some options on offer were Oysters, Wasabi, and Bacon. We discovered that the taste of these selections is better it sounds!Vosges’ originality is why it is so appreciated and admired.

Finally, our St Giles students were especially delighted to visit Max Brenner, a chocolate restaurant with an amazing menu of chocolate fondues, waffles and ice cream.

We are sure that Keith’s descriptions of the chocolate, together with the photos below, will make you want to visit these stores when you come and learn English New York City with us.
